Testimonials:

“I had one of my best autocross days ever at the Thompson Speedway. The layout was great compared to most facilities, elevation change, fast sections and a variety of turns. The staff was very friendly, helpful and full of driving advice. Looking forward to the 2014 events!”

“I just wanted to say that you guys are absolutely wonderful! My husband had a wonderful birthday. He had a great time and we got some excellent pictures. I am sure we made a lasting impression as well.  Again, thank you! Everyone was so helpful and nice. It was a fabulous experience!”

Fact #1

A street circuit is a racing circuit composed by temporarily closed-off public roads of a city, town or village, used in motor races.

Fact #2

Autocross is a form of motorsports where drivers navigate one at a time through a defined course, on a flat paved surface. Due to the nature of the course, the cars are kept in a controlled environment, maximizing safety for the driver and vehicle. The track can be very technical, and incorporates a lot of the same elements as Formula One style circuits.

Fact #3

Manhole covers on F1 street circuits, such as Monaco, are required to be welded shut before each race due to the amount of suction created by a Formula 1 car being enough to rip them free and throw into the sky.
